Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to already be an Enneagram expert to take this training?
No. The course is designed for both seasoned Enneagram practitioners and professionals newer to type work. You’ll receive guided frameworks, examples, and practical tools that make the content accessible while still offering depth for advanced learners.
Is this course therapy training?
This is an educational certification program. It does not train you to diagnose or treat mental health conditions unless you are already licensed to do so. Therapists, coaches, clergy, and Enneagram professionals are encouraged to apply the material within the scope of their existing credentials.
Will this help me in my coaching or ministry practice if I’m not a licensed therapist?
Yes. Coaches and clergy will find the tools extremely relevant for relational growth, communication, and emotional awareness — within non-clinical frameworks. We’ll also cover scope of practice and ethical guidelines so you know how to apply the tools appropriately.
What makes this certification different from other Enneagram trainings?
Most Enneagram trainings stop at personality insight. This program goes further by integrating developmental theory, differentiation, conflict repair, and type-based interventions. You’ll learn not just what a type does, but how to work with it in real relationships.
What if I don’t work with couples full-time?
That’s okay. Many professionals who take this training work with both individuals and couples. The tools are highly adaptable — you’ll learn how to use them in one-on-one sessions (helping individuals understand their type in relationships) as well as with couples.
Will there be live interaction or is this self-paced?
The training includes live teaching sessions, group discussions, and case consultations, along with on-demand materials you can revisit anytime. You’ll also have access to an ongoing mentorship group after certification for continued support.
What do I need to do to earn certification?
Certification involves three steps:
- Complete the core training modules
- Submit case studies or recorded demonstrations showing your application of the material
- Pass a written assessment covering the Developmental Enneagram for Couples framework and ethical guidelines
How long does the program take?
This is TBD, but you’ll have ongoing access to the material. Certification requirements (exam + case study) can be submitted once you’re ready.
Will I be listed or recognized as certified after completion?
Yes. Certified professionals will be listed in a directory of practitioners and can use the credential “Certified in the Developmental Enneagram for Couples™” in their bios, websites, and professional materials.
What if I’m still unsure this is the right fit?
If you’re curious but unsure, you can attend the first session risk-free. If by the end of the first week you decide the program isn’t right for you, you can request a full refund.
